From what I can dig up online, I think the Spinach Pie may have once been a regular menu item in Thailand. It seems that with Apple, Pineapple and Corn Pies already on the regular menu, this one slowly phased out and eventually became a recurring promo item.  It also looks like the last time this appeared was back in 2011-2012, so it's been at least a couple years since it's been around.

McDonald's Thailiand, like the rest of Asia still deep fry their pies in a the 'traditional' way, and normally, I would prefer if it was baked, but this pie would be one of the few exceptions that I felt was better because it was fried.  This isn't because I felt Spinach worked well fried, but rather because this was only a "Spinach Pie" in name, this was mostly a cheese pie!

Sure, there certainly were indeed bits of Spinach in there, and although they look small, you did get decent amount of spinach undertones inside all that cheese, but still the stand-out flavour in this pie was clearly the mozzarella cheese.  You might then think that this would taste like a giant mozzarella stick, and that wasn't the case either, since the McDonald's Pie batter was still noticeable and added a unique, clearly "McDonald's" flavour to this pie.  One negative was that since the primary ingredient was cheese, and cheese isn't cheap, therefore this pie was lighter on the total amount filling than a standard pie, but that's probably a good thing for your heart & waist.

The combination of the cheese, spinach, and random kernels of corn that were also mixed into the cheese created one surprisingly tasty pie, although it certainly wasn't much for the eyes.
